Source de plaisir ou outil de contrôle sur son propre corps, moyen de se connecter avec les autres ou plaisir solitaire, sans inhibitions ou générant de l'anxiété, notre relation avec la nourriture peut prendre de nombreuses formes. Elle est intimement liée à nos émotions et agit comme un révélateur subtil de notre histoire sociale et familiale. Mais quelles en sont les racines sous-jacentes ? Katherine Longly a enquêté sur ce sujet en interviewant 10 personnes aux profils divers au Japon, leur demandant de photographier cette relation elles-mêmes, comme elles le voulaient.

A source of pleasure or a control tool over one’s body, a way to connect with people or solitary delight, uninhibited or generating anxiety, our relationship with food can take many faces. It is intimately connected to our emotions, and acts as a subtle revealer of our social and family history. But what are its underlying roots? Katherine Longly investigated on that topic by interviewing 10 people with various profiles in Japan, asking them to photograph that relationship themselves, the way they wanted.
